Originally set up as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860,  the KCA is also a Public Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 (Registration No F-510; the Registration certificate can be downloaded at the bottom of this page).  Due to the primarily charitable nature of its activities, the KCA is also registered under section 12A of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961 (extract from the Income Tax website can also be downloaded below) with a tax-exempt status.

With ‘Vis Unita Fortior’ (with Unity – Forever Forward) as it’s appropriate motto, the KCA today is a vibrant community of members, working together in a spirit of union & friendship striving to take the institution to greater heights, and building on the legacy of the many personalities who have shaped the organization’s destiny over the past 115 years of its existence.
